Cableless Devices that Cut Out the Cord

You’ve seen them before, right? Those men and women who seem to be talking to themselves at the grocery store or the train station, until you find out they are merely talking into one of those handy wireless headsets. Crazy people they are not. In fact, they are quite smart, having welcomed themselves into the latest in wireless and cableless technology, called Bluetooth Technology. Bluetooth is a special wireless technology introduced in 1998 by Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Nokia and Toshiba. It’s an open standard for short-range transmission of digital voice and data that supports point-to-point and multipoint applications, in devices such as cell phones, head sets, keyboards, mice, and some automobile audio systems, all allowing wire-free operation. In this issue of HEJ we will share with you some of the latest and greatest devices that come fully loaded with Bluetooth Technology. Bluetooth will free you from the tyranny of wires and cables, allowing you to save precious space in your home or office.

All the best,
