If
you want to beat the winter blues - trade
your coat for your swimsuit!
Get
away from all things cold by heading to a warm sandy beach.
One of the most popular destinations for escaping the cold
is Miami - and for a good reason. In addition to its
great weather, there's truly something for everyone!

Art.
Miami hosts a number of prestigious art
shows and festivals. In February, art lovers will enjoy the Miami
Beach Festival of Arts (February 11 and 12) and the Coconut
Grove Arts Festival (February 18 to 20). From March 3 to 6

Where
to Stay. Sheraton
Bal Harbour, boasting the most fashionable address
in Miami, is conveniently located between South Beach and Ft.
Lauderdale. This trendy locale is the ideal winter retreat for
the young and hip looking to dive into the Miami nightlife. Kids
and parents alike will also enjoy soaking up the sun while lounging
by their lagoon-style pool, complete with waterfalls! Palm Trees,
sandy beaches and blue ocean waters…where else would you
rather be in February? Plus the hotel is directly across the street
from some of the country’s most premiere shopping –
The Bal Harbour Shops (see below shopping section).
Dining
and Nightlife.
Much of the attention on Miami in the last several years is due
to its superb dining and exciting nightlife. A great way to experience
the best of Miami's restaurant scene is at one of its popular
food and wine festivals, The South
Beach Wine and Food Festival will take place February 24 to
26. Ready for a night out? South Beach (SoBe) is an international
playground for the rich and famous. Popular clubs include Bash
(owned by Sean Penn and Simply Red's Mick Hucknell), Crobar, and
Bar None (owned by Sylvester Stallone and Oliver Stone).
Shopping.
The
glamorous clubs and bars of SoBe have turned Miami into a showpiece
for trendy fashion. Miami has one of the premier places to shop
in the country. The Bar
Harbour Shops, which is located in the most exclusive neighborhood
in the Miami area, hosts retail shops for many fashion houses,
including Versace, Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Prada.
